We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an
Inventory Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in
Los Angeles, CA Details for the position are as follows:
- Pay rate up to $27hr based on experience
- This is an Onsite role. 3rd shift M-F 9PM-530AM
- 2+month contract - (potential to extend or convert based on performance & budget).
- Coordinate with Logistics Specialists to optimize dock schedules; provide backup support as needed.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts; resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Inventory Control team.
- Partner with Quality to contain non-conforming materials and support release processes.
- Communicate urgent shipments and deliveries between shifts and departments.
- Generate reports using SAP, MES, Excel, Ryder, and Dock Scheduler.
- Lead Safety and Quality Gembas, 5S audits, and document improvement opportunities.
- Maintain standard work documents and manage the team’s training matrix.
- Operate PIT equipment and support team activities as necessary.
- Coach and train team members to support skill development and performance.
- Escalate safety, quality, and delivery issues to leadership.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including RCCA and 5S events.
- Communicate key updates and issues across shifts and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- SAP or WMS experience required.
- Prior experience in inventory control and/or shipping required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage stress, and work independently.
- Understanding of warehouse and shipping principles.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
