Job Summary
We are seeking a highly-skilled, detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team.
The candidate for this position must have 5+ years experience in the field cabinet making and have a well rounded cabinet manufacturing background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and woodworking projects with precision and craftsmanship. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, fabrication, math proficiency and blueprint reading, along with experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments. The Cabinet Maker will collaborate with project managers to deliver high-quality finished products that meet specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Provide accurate material takeoffs, job costing and installation durations
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery
- Measure accurately to ensure proper fit and finish of cabinetry components
- Fabricate custom woodwork and fixtures in accordance with design plans
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely and efficiently
- Install cabinets, doors, fixtures, lighting and related hardware on-site or in workshop settings
- Maintain a clean and well-organized shop to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, or drywall teams during remodeling or renovation projects
- Follow all safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Deep proven experience in custom cabinet making
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to fabricate high end millwork and casework
- Mastery of hand tools, power tools and operation of industrial woodworking equipment
- Experience in trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, or remodeling projects is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on construction sites or manufacturing facilities
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed schematics and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
