POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Director of Information Technology will lead Avtron’s IT department, overseeing the development and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity, and driving technological innovation to support business operations and growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives, ensuring technology initiatives enhance business performance.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Liaise with Legrand’s IT team to ensure Avtron’s compliance with all standards and policies. Assist with all aspects of integration (a.k.a. docking) with Legrand in accordance with timeline. Audit current systems and determine gaps in compliance.
- Implement robust security measures to protect the company’s digital assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing return on technology investments.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Ensure Avtron’s data/cybersecurity protocols are aligned with Legrand’s standard.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and emerging technologies relevant to the industrial equipment sector.
This is an on-site/hybrid role. Must be willing to travel approximately 15-20% of time to various Avtron locations as needed.
Salary range is $175,000 - 185,000 + bonus
