Job Description:
Our professional education company is seeking a Product Manager to play a vital role in our continued efforts to improve and expand our product line in 2026 and beyond. Our new team member will provide a wide variety of services to help optimize product management and development efforts. They will be a reliable team player with an eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have experience in e-learning/digital learning, instructional design, and project management, and have interest in tracking industry trends and best practices. This team member reports directly to our Senior Director of Operations. The successful candidate for this role is willing to work hard and grow with the company, taking charge in developing new online courses, as well as additional tools and resources for the EPI community. Having a strong focus on quality control and customer satisfaction will also be critical to success.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Manage and oversee EPI’s Product Team
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for EPI’s educational programs such as the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) program, and other online courses apart of the EPI Academy platform. Including tasks such as curriculum development, interactive course design, quiz question creation, video review, supplementary material buildout, etc.
- Facilitate communication/scheduling with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to help streamline their contributions to EPI content, while almost maintaining information inside the SME internal database
- Track weekly product metrics in our CRM system, HubSpot, including sales data and submitted customer feedback. Collaborating with the Fulfillment team to respond to results as needed. Products to track include but are not limited to:
- Online education programs, in-person conferences and events, books, research, etc.
- Oversee product details within EPI’s payment processing system, Shopify.
- Act as first point of contact for product questions from internal EPI team.
- Maintain the EPI Member Center, including available materials to members, user access, and providing user-experience updates.
- Manage EPI course submissions to outside organizations when looking to gain approval for new continuing education offerings.
- Researching and implementing the latest “online education” industry trends in order to ensure programs follow best practices.
- Run quality control/proofing for all new and current EPI products.
- Support the growth of Continuing Education (CE) opportunities available at EPI. Both externally through submitting EPI courses for approval at other organizations, and internally through EPI’s own CE approval process.
- Assist in the launch and ongoing build-out of EPI’s new online community forum.
Position qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years in product/project management roles required
- 2+ years’ experience in education, training, learning & development, curriculum building, instructional design, or related field required
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Life-long learner
- Proficiency with online systems and maintain the ability to pick up new systems quickly. Including but not limited to: HubSpot, Shopify, Adobe (Photoshop, Premier Pro), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook), Vimeo, Canva, Articulate 360, various online testing platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Location: Hybrid. Required two days a week in Westlake, OH office.
Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri
Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $80K-$90K dependent on experience
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
