Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of site operations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to learn about construction processes. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on construction sites
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up necessary tools and materials
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers in their tasks
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Help with site cleanup and organization to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in the measurement, cutting, and assembly of building components as directed
- Support the transportation of materials around the construction site
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices is preferred but training will be provided
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
