Job description:
The Export Delivery Analyst is a pivotal role within the global supply chain, responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end export delivery process.
This includes managing the order-to-cash cycle, ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining the integrity of ERP data (e.g., SAP).
The role demands a blend of operational expertise, regulatory acumen, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver timely, cost-effective, and compliant shipments to customers, distributors, and regional hubs worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Export Operations & Traffic Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute international shipments via air, sea, and land, ensuring strict adherence to Incoterms and on-time delivery.
- Oversee the entire delivery lifecycle, from order entry and dispatch to final delivery, including last-mile completion and proof of delivery (POD).
- Proactively monitor transportation timelines, resolve shipping issues (delays, damages, delivery failures), and manage shipment tracking tools to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Ensure seamless handoff of export shipments from warehouse teams to carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Carrier & 3PL Management
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Negotiate service terms, monitor carrier performance using KPIs, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of 3PL and carrier performance for quality assurance and cost control.
- Analyse trends in delivery failures, carrier delays, and customs clearance bottlenecks to develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain delivery dashboards and provide visibility to internal stakeholders on shipment status and customer delivery satisfaction.
- Customs Documentation & Trade Compliance
- Prepare, audit, and manage all shipping documents (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, customs declarations).
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, including HS/HTS classifications, export licensing, and sanctions screening.
- Maintain accurate export records for internal audits and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Trade Compliance, Finance, and Channel Specialists to align on order readiness, documentation flow, and issue resolution.
- Escalate unresolved delivery issues that affect customer commitments or compliance risks.
- Participate in post-shipment reviews and root-cause analysis sessions
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2 years in customer service, order management, or international logistics.
Knowledge:
- Foreign trade regulations and compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR, HS/HTS classification, Incoterms).
- International logistics and shipping processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar).
- Experience with Letters of Credit and trade finance is advantageous.
Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Letter of Credit (L/C) & Trade Finance
- Review and interpret Letters of Credit to ensure compliance with documentary terms.
- Coordinate the timely submission of compliant documents to banks, resolve discrepancies, and ensure prompt payment collection.
- Customer Engagement & Final Destination Challenges
- Act as a key liaison for international customers regarding documentation, delivery timelines, and export process inquiries.
- Provide proactive updates and resolutions to customer issues related to customs clearance and final destination delivery hurdles.
- Collaborate with distribution partners, local agents, and end users to troubleshoot and resolve last-mile delivery challenges.
- Continuous Process Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies, implement methodologies, and recommend automation opportunities.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to reduce export cycle time, improve document accuracy, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain performance reports and KPIs related to export efficiency and compliance.
- Recommend and implement improvements to reduce delivery lead times, improve visibility, and enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with IT and supply chain teams to improve tracking systems, automated alerts, and integration with TMS/ERP systems.
- Support global logistics strategy development through regional delivery insights and lessons learned.
- Cross-Organisational Collaboration
- Partner with Trade Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure adherence to international trade regulations and export restrictions.
- Work closely with internal teams (Customer Service, Finance, Channel Specialists, Pricing Ops, Regulatory) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs, customs brokers) to ensure seamless export operations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
