Job Description

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) leads regional project operations and is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all assigned projects (Diamond, Gold and Silver Accounts). This role supervises Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, drives field performance through collaboration with Lead Technicians, and maintains accountability to key operational metrics. The SPM is a pivotal leadership role that bridges day-to-day project delivery with strategic regional oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Division Leadership

Lead overall performance of the regional division, including project execution, technician management, and financial results
Facilitate weekly operations meetings to align PMs, APMs, and field teams with regional and company goals

Team Oversight & Development

Manage and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Lead Technicians
Conduct formal performance reviews, issue disciplinary actions when necessary, and make termination decisions as needed
Handle technician concerns—including personal, non-job-related issues—and ensure alignment with core values and expectations
Oversee technician training progression and certification pacing

High-Value Client Management (Diamond, Gold, Silver Accounts)

Serve as primary point of contact for Diamond, Gold, and Silver customers regarding scheduling, job updates, and project execution
Attend pre-construction and active project meetings to represent company interests and resolve concerns in real time
Coordinate and confirm technician scheduling for high-value accounts
Handle all customer and technician communications for active projects, including change order discussions and scheduling adjustments
Ensure all USA Balancer updates, JEM data, and scheduling reports for key accounts are complete and accurate
Manage punch list tracking, rejected report responses, and customer report-related questions
Oversee billing status and collaborate with PM, APM and Accounting on high-value client invoicing

Project Oversight & Execution

Provide leadership and support for project delivery across all account types
Step in directly on complex or at-risk projects to ensure successful resolution

Schedule & Resource Management

Final review and approval of the regional schedule, ensuring alignment with labor availability and technician development pacing
Monitor project backlog and coordinate with Sales to ensure accurate forecasting and manpower planning

KPI & Financial Management

Own and act on key performance metrics including JEM, TPS, gross profit, punch list durations, and change orders
Review and manage regional profit and loss (P&L), working with leadership to meet financial goals

Quality Control & Compliance

Enforce documentation standards, report formatting, and data entry accuracy across the regional team
Ensure consistent use of company systems (e.g., USA Balancer) and compliance with internal procedures

Qualifications

Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and internal platforms (e.g., USA Balancer)
Solid understanding of TAB processes, field operations, and reporting requirements

Experience and Education

10+ years of project management experience in HVAC, TAB, or similar industry
Prior experience supervising a team of Project Managers and technicians
NEBB Certification or equivalent is strongly preferred
Experience with KPI-driven performance management required

Physical Requirements

Occasional travel for job site visits and team meetings
Must have a reliable home office setup with high-speed internet
Availability for calls across multiple time zones when needed
Must have a valid drivers license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
