Job Description:
Sheltered International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trucking industry, excellent communication and management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule truck shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates and resolve issues
- Monitor and track shipments using dispatch software
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and driver information
- Optimize routes and loads to maximize efficiency
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications:
- 10 years dispatch experience
- 2+ years management experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in dispatch software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
