Summary
The Director of Information Technology will lead a global IT organization, overseeing employees, contractors, and consultants across multiple international locations including the United States, Mexico, China, Vietnam, India, and Costa Rica. This role is responsible for driving technology strategy and operational excellence across cybersecurity, disaster recovery, infrastructure, software development, service desk, system administration, and engineering support.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and the ability to develop and implement IT policies that support global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all IT functions in alignment with corporate goals.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability across all regions.
- Partner with business leaders to assess technology needs and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
- Design and maintain cybersecurity programs aligned with the NIST framework.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure resiliency of critical systems.
- Manage and prioritize multiple infrastructure and software development projects.
- Direct software selection, implementation, and migration initiatives (e.g., ERP/MRP migrations, Windows 10 to 11, O365 to M365).
- Evaluate and optimize technology investments, equipment, and licensing for performance and ROI.
- Develop and manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse global IT team to achieve high performance and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a global IT Director or similar leadership role.
- Strong background in IT systems design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Experience with NIST, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 standards preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and large-scale migrations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and global technology initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
