Brief Description:
FEMA is looking for an experienced IT Professional to fill a position as a Systems Administrator at it’s Portage Location. Normal work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and implement systems and process improvements that improve overall performance and technical efficiencies
- Responsible for coordinating the testing and delivery of solutions for release cycles and/or new projects
- Proficient in technical solutions and able to provide escalated support when needed
- In-depth understanding of business processes and operational procedures within the commercial business to assist in decision making and process improvement objectives
- Drives collaboration with IT counterparts on system enhancements and reported incidents
- Accountable for timely and accurate delivery of solutions
- Installing and upgrading Windows systems and servers
- Able to install and maintain firewalls and network equipment.
- Monitoring and maintaining file servers
- Troubleshooting server errors and reviewing event/error logs
- Create, maintain, and verify backups ensuring system integrity
- Maintain and monitor Windows security updates and anti-virus systems
- Management of VMWare vSphere based infrastructure
- Maintain and support cloud-based systems, including Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment
Education requirements, certifications, work experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area in addition to at least 3 years of work experience
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required
· Ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, and produce consistent high-quality work
· Detailed knowledge of Windows Server setup, deployment, and maintenance
· Detailed knowledge of Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, and DNS
· Familiar with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365
· Familiar with RBAC and DFS concepts
· Ability to create scripts and automate tasks in PowerShell
· Familiarity with programming languages – C#, VB, .NET
· Proficiency in VMWare vSphere and vSAN
· Experience with Veeam and Arcserve backup technologies
· Experience with the Cyber Security Maturity Model Certification is preferred
· Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
· Cisco certifications a plus
· Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to interface directly with all levels of an organization
