Project Manager (Charlotte, NC)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading power holding company, is seeing a Project Manager for a hybrid position in their Charlotte office! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager II to join our IT department and support the remediation of End-of-Life SharePoint technologies! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects in the IT space, with a proven track record of delivering projects using Agile methodologies. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives!

Experience of the right candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project and JIRA.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects in the Enterprise Solutions IT department, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor project progress, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Power Grid Operations, Natural Gas Business Unit, Nuclear, along with other business units, to refine project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project performance against established metrics.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as industry’s best practices.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
