Overall Objecive
The primary objective of the Creative Project Manager is to lead multiple, large-scale projects; ensure alignment of scope, resources, and client expectations.
Responsibilities
The Creative Project Manager oversees scheduling, monitoring, and tracking of internal workflows for assigned clients, ensuring projects progress efficiently and client satisfaction remains high. Supervises and mentors project management associates; allocates resources.
- Project Management Software Expertise
- Maintain, enforce and optimize Workfront protocols for project intake, processing, and tracking.
- Monitor project deadlines and deliverables across multiple platforms.
- Provide guidance to team members on effective use of Workfront and other project management tools as needed.
- Scopes/estimates projects, develops schedules, allocates resources, manages project budgets, and ensures strategic alignment
- Project Coordination
- Facilitate and oversee projects, meetings, approvals across departments, including Creative, Account Services, Studio, Development, and Media.
- Regularly communicates project status; resolves conflicts; represents CPM in client discussions.
- Maintains, evolves, and creates new procedures; standardizes and documents best practices for the entire department.
- Organize and participate in inter-departmental meetings to review workloads and forecast upcoming work.
- Operational & Financial Administration
- Process, investigate and resolve estimates, billing and vendor invoices in compliance with departmental procedures.
- Manage stock photography and costs within established guidelines.
- Creates/manages estimates, POs, and budgets; ensures profitability at project level.
- Workflow & Process Improvement
- Evaluate operational processes regularly and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Evolves and documents new procedures; drives consistency across CPM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution. Advanced financial and operational management experience.
- Strong proficiency with project management software, especially Workfront, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects using Workfront or similar platforms, including task assignment, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and committed to continuous process improvement.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and remain composed under pressure.
- Capable of working independently and as a supportive team member to achieve department and business objectives.
