About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced and highly strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and optimize its multi-site operations across Puerto Rico and Florida. This executive will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and innovation while ensuring alignment with the company’s growth, service, and efficiency objectives.
This is a key leadership role for a dynamic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and brings deep expertise in operations management within industrial, energy, or specialized service environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies that enhance productivity, cost efficiency, service quality, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including service delivery, planning, procurement, logistics, maintenance, and compliance.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and internal operating procedures.
- Work cross-functionally with business development, engineering, finance, and other areas to support commercial and client-driven goals.
- Lead operational expansion initiatives, including automation, process optimization, and strategic project execution.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure operational transparency and accountability.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing operational and site leadership teams.
- Drive cost optimization across materials, labor efficiency, asset utilization, and overhead expenses.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and innovation-oriented workplace culture.
- Support budget development, financial forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations; experience in industrial services, energy services, or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated success managing geographically dispersed operations.
- Expertise in process optimization, asset management, and operational scalability.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proven experience leading diverse and remote teams.
- Ability to travel between facilities and client sites (40%–50%).
