Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
- A valid driver's license is required. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- One year of experience as a Correctional Transportation Officer preferred.
- Proficiency in fleet automated systems is preferred
Summary
The Transportation Coordinator provides oversight of daily trip activities throughout TransCor America's network. Records pertinent information into a database and reports incidents to appropriate levels of command. Acts as frontline responder to trip incidents, while ensuring adherence to TransCor America policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
The incumbent should be able to perform all the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
- Communicate effectively and coherently while answering incoming telephone calls from employees, customers and others.
- Initiates, updates and ends trip activities in the Correctional Extradition and Control System
- Record trip related data and complete reports accurately in accordance with protocols established by management.
- Monitors transportation teams to ensure timeliness of scheduled trips.
- Receives incidents and completes reports. Requests appropriate documentation. Notifies the appropriate staff and monitors and updates through resolution.
- Monitors weather conditions and natural disasters and escalate potential issues to the appropriate level.
- Must be able to multi-task all essential functions timely and accurately while prioritizing information.
- Assist with front lobby duties such as greeting and assisting all visitors, managing phone calls, and ensuring the lobby is well maintained and secure.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to all guests and employees.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
