Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior System Administrator, situated in the Greater Houston area, with opportunities to work from home on occasion. The Junior System Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT systems and networks. Daily responsibilities include managing system updates and patches, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring the security and functionality of IT infrastructure. Additionally, the role involves assisting with network administration and collaborating with senior team members on IT projects to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in System Administration and Network Administration
- Strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills
- Knowledge of Information Technology fundamentals and best practices
- Familiarity with patch management, data security, and system maintenance
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work in a hybrid environment
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
