The Director of IT is responsible for leading the technology strategy, operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity of the organization. This role ensures that IT systems, processes, and staff align with the company’s goals and deliver secure, efficient, and innovative technology solutions that drive business success.

Salary: Up to $218,000 per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
IT Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support.
- Oversee data management, security, and backup systems to ensure business continuity.
- Implement and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for technology products and services.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure the organization’s data and systems are protected against cybersecurity threats.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, depending on industry).
- Regularly assess risk and implement security best practices across all systems.
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget.
- Optimize resource allocation to balance cost, performance, and security.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through system optimization and vendor management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–12 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex technology projects.
