We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for efficiently coordinating loads, managing driver schedules, monitoring routes, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This position requires strong management capabilities, and the right candidate will have the ability to delegate and lead employees to be successful. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
· Schedule and dispatch drivers for pickups, deliveries, and long-haul routes
· Assign loads based on driver availability, location, and equipment
· Track shipments in real-time and update customers on status
· Communicate with drivers to provide route instructions, address delays, and resolve issues
· Monitor, track and control department productivity
· Create long-and-short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, and meeting deadlines.
· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
· Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports
· Collaborate with operations, safety, and customer representatives to ensure on-time performance
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a Project Manager in the trucking or transportation industry preferred
· Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
· Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
