We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. Richard's Electric does construction on small substations and airports throughout Nebraska and western Kansas. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, willing to travel, and dependable. We are willing to train the right candidate. Beginning pay is $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. A typical work week begins with the crew meeting at the Anselmo, NE base site on Monday at 5:00 am. Work hours on the job site typically run 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and the average work week averages about 50 hours. We do pay time and a half for anything over 40 hours. Most projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends). The hotel is paid while working on the job site, and there is a weekly Per Diem paid for meals when working over an 8-hour day. This is a year-round job, so you will need to be prepared to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions. The job sites are usually a fast-paced environment and do require the employee to remain focused when working in high-traffic areas (no cell phone usage unless business-related). These are useful skills, but we will be willing to train a willing learner.
- Ability to find and verify measurements to ensure accuracy (level, tape measure)
- Ability to read and interpret machine gauges
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Ability to perform a variety of manual labor tasks without significant direction
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team when carrying loads heavier than 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout each day
- Willingness to abide by all safety rules. Safety training will be provided

- Valid driver’s license and driving record with no major offenses
- Ability to commute as far as the Anselmo base. Transportation from base to job site provided by Richard's Electric
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
