We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. Richard's Electric does construction on small substations and airports throughout Nebraska and western Kansas. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, willing to travel, and dependable. We are willing to train the right candidate. Beginning pay is $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. A typical work week begins with the crew meeting at the Anselmo, NE base site on Monday at 5:00 am. Work hours on the job site typically run 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and the average work week averages about 50 hours. We do pay time and a half for anything over 40 hours. Most projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends). The hotel is paid while working on the job site, and there is a weekly Per Diem paid for meals when working over an 8-hour day. This is a year-round job, so you will need to be prepared to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions. The job sites are usually a fast-paced environment and do require the employee to remain focused when working in high-traffic areas (no cell phone usage unless business-related). These are useful skills, but we will be willing to train a willing learner.

Ability to find and verify measurements to ensure accuracy (level, tape measure)
Ability to read and interpret machine gauges
Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs
Ability to perform a variety of manual labor tasks without significant direction
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team when carrying loads heavier than 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout each day
Willingness to abide by all safety rules. Safety training will be provided

Valid driver’s license and driving record with no major offenses
Ability to commute as far as the Anselmo base. Transportation from base to job site provided by Richard's Electric
Must be eligible to work in the United States
