As a SERVPRO – Fire & Disaster CHASER , you will be a vital part of the team helping homeowners and business owners recover from fire, smoke, and soot damage.
- You will be ready to respond immediately to fires 24hrs a day including weekends in NJ and NY to sign jobs and earn a base plus commission for winning the job.
- Actively seeking new jobs related to fire damage restoration, i.e., going from one emergency job site to another after fires have been reported.
- First Responders may be "chasing fires" across multiple locations, particularly in areas where fires are. They may travel from one fire-affected location to another, working long hours to help restore homes and businesses.
- The job might involve being available on short notice to handle emergencies and may require technicians to travel frequently or work irregular hours.
- Maintain clear communication with property owners, explaining the fire restoration process and offering empathetic support during a stressful time.
- Assist in documenting the fire damage for insurance claims, taking photographs and inventorying affected items and areas.
- Collaborate with other SERVPRO teams (e.g., demolition, cleaning, reconstruction) to ensure that restoration is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
SKILLS
- Experience with fire damage restoration and understanding of techniques used to clean, restore, and protect properties after fire damage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ability to assess damage and determine the best methods for restoration, working quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with other technicians and supervisors to complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive company vehicles to job sites, sometimes under tight timelines.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as fire damage emergencies can happen at any time.
This is a full-time position working varying hours. This position requires longer hours, and must have flexibility in hours due to business needs.
1099 Employment is welcomed.
