The Logistics Cost Analysis Coordinator will understand the contractual rates associated with international ocean transportation, freight forwarding services and inland origin trucking to the ports of loading. The coordinator will process invoices for payment and provide reports on supplier accuracy, assist with developing tactics and policies that are consistent with cost control measures and supply chain stability goals, record the rates for ocean transportation providers in a central database known as Infor Nexus which is used as a system of record for processing invoices and for internal audit purposes. The ocean rates are compared to benchmark rates on a monthly and quarterly basis and the coordinator will provide a scorecard for each supplier to guard against unwarranted cost increases and will serve as a liaison between finance and supply chain departments to resolve billing issues and disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.
- Collaborate with Pricing Team to develop budgets.
- Monitor and analyze costs to identify trends and variances.
- Work with logistics and sales departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Implement cost control processes and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of budget planning and financial reviews.
Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Infor M3 and Infor FIN a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven track record of working in a cost analysis or related role.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in financial analysis or cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Infor Nexus and Infor M3 systems is a major plus
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Salary: $55,000 - $68,000 annually plus bonus
