Company Vehicle & Phone | Comprehensive Benefits | Paid Time Off
An established and growing residential design-build firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of high-end outdoor construction projects.
Specializing in landscape construction, hardscapes, pools, outdoor structures, and complete property transformations, our focus is on delivering exceptional craftsmanship, organized project execution, proactive communication, and an outstanding client experience.
The Opportunity
As our Project Manager, you'll take ownership of construction projects from preconstruction handoff through final completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards.
You'll serve as a key connection betweentrade partners, clients, and internal operations, keeping projects organized, moving forward, and positioned for success.
This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership position that requires strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and accountability; approximately 70% in the field and 30% in office and anywhere from 3-9 projects simultaneously ranging from $300,000 up to $1M+.
We're seeking someone who can anticipate challenges, make informed decisions, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of project results. This person would work alongside a small project management team and have their own individual assigned projects while reporting to the COO.
Project Execution & Field Management
- Manage multiple active construction projects from preconstruction handoff through final completion.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, trade partners, materials, and project schedules once they are established with the Preconstruction Manager.
- Ensure projects progress according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain organized, professional, and safe jobsites.
- Monitor daily field operations, productivity, and project progress.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges while minimizing delays and disruptions.
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and production timelines.
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor availability.
- Anticipate potential challenges related to site conditions, weather, materials, and construction sequencing.
- Ensure projects are properly prepared before each phase of construction begins.
- Communicate schedule changes, project risks, and necessary adjustments proactively.
Budget & Project Performance
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and overall financial performance.
- Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate project change orders, additional work, and approvals.
- Maintain accountability for project efficiency, profitability, and successful execution.
Client Communication & Project Closeout
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout construction.
- Provide consistent project updates while managing expectations professionally.
- Address client questions, concerns, and project-related challenges.
- Coordinate project walkthroughs, punch lists, and final completion.
- Ensure a positive client experience from project initiation through closeout.
Systems & Process Management
- Maintain accurate project schedules, documentation, updates, and reporting within established construction management systems.
- Follow established project workflows, operational procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and project transitions.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to continuously improve project execution and operational efficiency.
