Job Overview
Colorado-based custom home developer is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to oversee site management of custom home projects.
This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and communicate effectively. You will manage contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining safety and compliance with all regulations.
This position is immediately available to start. We prefer you are local (live in Summit, Park, or nearby counties). This is a contract-based (1099) position with potential to extend for several years upon evaluation of your performance.
Duties
- Manage all phases of custom SFR construction projects, from start to finish.
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, and coordinating with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and building department inspectors.
- Perform quality control and construction inspections to verify compliance with plans, standards, codes and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and safe working environment.
- Maintain documentation of project activities, changes, and inspections.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site supervision, processes, and general understanding of residential/custom home construction.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and quality inspection standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and building department inspectors.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, and maintain safety standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5-10+ years in custom home construction
- Physical Demands: The ability to move safely around construction sites and lift basic items.
- Drug-Free Workplace Policy: This company maintains a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drugs, unauthorized controlled substances, and alcohol in the workplace.
- Certifications: OSHA-30 (preferred or able to obtain one)
