Finish Carpenter / Trim Carpenter - High-End Custom Homes
Location: Salisbury, MD | Jobs throughout Delmarva
Pay: Based on experience
Job Type: Full-time, W-2
About Stimis Enterprises
Stimis Enterprises builds and installs custom architectural millwork for high-end residential builders throughout Delmarva.
We work in homes where the details are noticed. Most of our projects are $1M+ custom homes, and the level of fit and finish is significantly higher than typical residential construction.
Our millwork is produced in our own shop and built to the plans before it reaches the jobsite. Your job is to install it correctly, solve the details in the field, and leave behind work that is ready for inspection.
We are building a team of dedicated craftsmen who take pride in doing this work at a very high level.
What You Will Do
- Install high-end paint-grade and stain-grade trim
- Install crown, casing, base, wainscoting, wall paneling, and built-ins
- Install coffered ceilings and architectural details
- Install stair systems and related millwork
- Install historically accurate profile reproductions
- Scribe and fit millwork to out-of-square walls and ceilings
- Maintain tight, consistent reveals and joints
- Read architectural drawings, elevations, details, and cut lists
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Identify and solve installation issues before they become problems
- Keep the jobsite clean and protect completed work
What We Are Looking For
You should have at least 5 years of professional finish carpentry experience, preferably in high-end residential work.
You should be able to:
- Set up and execute a trim package without being shown how
- Make accurate cuts and tight joints consistently
- Scribe difficult conditions rather than hide them
- Read plans and understand architectural details
- Work cleanly around finished surfaces
- Recognize when something is not right and correct it
- Work independently while communicating with the rest of the team
- Take pride in the finished product
This is not an entry-level trim position and it is not a job for someone who needs constant direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of finish carpentry experience
- High-end residential experience strongly preferred
- Own quality hand tools and personal finish-carpentry tools
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift 50 lbs

- Photos of your finished work
If you have a miter saw, nailers, compressor, or other major tools, tell us what you have when you apply.
Preferred Experience
- Historic restoration or reproduction work
- Coffered ceilings
- Complex built-ins
- Stair systems
- Architectural wall paneling
- High-end cabinetry installation
- Working from detailed architectural drawings
What We Offer
- Full-time W-2 employment
- Steady, year-round work
- High-end residential projects
- Work produced by our own millwork shop
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced craftsmen.
How to Apply
Send photos of your best work.
Photos matter more than a polished resume.
Send us 5–10 photos of your best finished carpentry, preferably showing difficult work, tight details, built-ins, stairs, ceilings, or other architectural millwork.
Tell us your years of experience, where you are currently working, and what type of work you do best.
We are looking for a finish carpenter who wants to do exceptional work, not simply another set of hands.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
