Zook Interiors is hiring two Commercial Construction Foremen to lead and work alongside our field crews on metal stud framing, drywall and ceiling projects. Bring your trade experience and crew leadership to a growing company that values people, safety and quality workmanship.
Location: Allentown, PA | Job type: Full-time | Pay: $30-$40 per hour
Sign-on bonus: $2,500 paid after six months of employment
Schedule and travel
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
- Travel: Projects generally fall within a 30-60 mile radius. Zook offers mileage reimbursement for travel exceeding 30 miles and paid travel time for travel exceeding 60 minutes.
What you'll do
- Lead, assign and participate in field work, keeping the crew focused on safety, quality and project schedules.
- Read blueprints, layouts and specifications to plan and complete metal stud framing, drywall hanging or finishing, and ceiling work within the assigned scope.
- Coordinate daily work with project managers, general contractors and subcontractors; solve jobsite problems and communicate progress.
- Plan material needs, submit purchase requests and coordinate tools and equipment to keep work moving.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity and project requirements while maintaining a safe, clean and organized jobsite.
- Complete crew time records, safety paperwork and information needed for changes to the work.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of relevant commercial construction experience in metal stud framing, drywall hanging or drywall finishing, plus demonstrated crew leadership experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and direct a crew's work accordingly.
- Strong working knowledge of trade materials, tools and methods, with practical problem-solving and clear communication skills.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent industry experience.
- A valid driver's license and eligibility under the company's vehicle insurance requirements to operate company vehicles.
- Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company policies, including the Drug & Alcohol Policy.

About the work
This is an active field position on indoor and outdoor commercial jobsites. Work may include heights, changing weather, noise and dust; climbing, bending, kneeling and material handling; and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds. The role includes operating jobsite equipment such as lifts and forklifts and performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
