PLS Logistics Services is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinators to support our transportation brokerage operations. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with Account Executives, customers, and carrier partners to coordinate freight movement across the country. This role is responsible for securing capacity, managing shipments, solving transportation challenges, and ensuring excellent service throughout the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily freight shipments from pickup through delivery.
- Book and schedule shipments within assigned Account Executive teams.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure successful execution.
- Identify and resolve capacity challenges to keep shipments moving.
- Source and secure transportation capacity using internal systems and carrier networks.
- Assign carriers based on shipment requirements, service levels, and profitability goals.
- Negotiate carrier rates while maintaining target margins.
- Monitor carrier performance and address service issues.
- Ensure all expected daily shipments are covered and executed on time.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation.
- Track key performance metrics including: Load counts, Revenue and net revenue, Profitability, Service performance
- Assist with onboarding and training newer Logistics Coordinators and Account Executive Trainees.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, customers, and carrier partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities.
