Deploy by aircraft to remote wildfire perimeters on an interagency fire crew, parachuting or fast-roping into rough terrain to cut and hold containment line with chainsaws and hand tools during initial attack. You will run portable pumps and hose lays on steep ground, dig and mop up hot spots, and carry heavy packs over long shifts in smoke and heat. Arduous fitness certification, current wildland fire qualifications, and resilience for extended remote deployments are required.
