Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, restoring, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of masonry techniques and the ability to work with various construction materials. The Brick Mason will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Responsibilities

Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, blocks, or stone.
Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
Mix mortar and plaster to create strong bonds between bricks or blocks.
Install masonry units in accordance with design specifications.
Perform concrete finishing tasks as needed for various projects.
Operate heavy equipment safely while on job sites.
Assist in estimating materials and labor costs for construction projects.
Restore existing brickwork by replacing damaged bricks or repointing mortar joints.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Skills

Proficiency in frame carpentry techniques related to masonry work.
Strong ability to build and restore structures with precision.
Experience in heavy equipment operation relevant to construction tasks.
Knowledge of plastering techniques for finishing work.
Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
Familiarity with installation processes for various masonry materials.
Competence in construction estimating practices for budgeting projects.
Experience with stucco application as part of exterior finishes.
Skills in concrete finishing to enhance the durability of installations.
