Position Summary
My client is seeking an experienced VP, Operations to lead and optimize the company's end-to-end supply chain and operational functions.
The VP, Operations will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives across procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, distribution, quality, and customer fulfillment. This leader will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure the organization has the operational infrastructure, processes, and partnerships required to support continued growth.
The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership and has a track record of scaling complex operations within a fast-paced CPG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior operational leader responsible for developing and executing strategies that support the company's growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to align operational priorities with commercial goals and organizational initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence across the business by establishing scalable processes, performance metrics, and effective operating rhythms.
- Lead strategic initiatives focused on improving efficiency, enhancing execution, reducing complexity, and supporting ongoing growth.
- Build strong internal and external partnerships that enable business performance, operational resilience, and exceptional customer experiences.
- Utilize data, analytics, and business insights to identify opportunities, manage risk, and drive informed decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness through process optimization, technology adoption, and change management initiatives.
- Ensure the organization has the infrastructure, resources, and capabilities necessary to support current operations and future expansion.
- Foster collaboration across multiple business functions to improve alignment, execution, and overall business performance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team while creating a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic recommendations and operational insights that support company objectives.
- Play a key role in shaping the operational roadmap and helping position the organization for sustainable, long-term success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across supply chain, operations, logistics, procurement, planning, or manufacturing.
- Experience leading multi-functional operational organizations within a CPG environment.
- Strong expertise in supply chain management, inventory control, planning, logistics, and operational strategy.
- Proven success leading organizational improvements and transformational initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of operational drivers impacting profitability.
- Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in the Los Angeles area.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience within beauty, personal care, wellness, consumer products, or adjacent industries.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers, external suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Exposure to global operations and international supply chains.
- APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or related certifications are a plus.
