AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Quality Engineer to work onsite in York, PA.

Salary: $70,000 - $115,000
SUMMARY
Our confidential client is an employee-owned contract manufacturer of precision CNC machined parts with more than 40 years of experience helping customers reduce costs and achieve their business objectives. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving quality systems while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. This role applies Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies to improve product quality, process reliability, and operational efficiency. The position leads corrective actions, coordinates PPAP activities, supports supplier quality, develops inspection plans and CMM programs, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from concept through implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead quality improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, including documentation and performance metrics.
- Coordinate PPAP activities and ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and project timelines are met.
- Develop quality plans, inspection plans, CMM programs, fixtures, and related documentation.
- Investigate customer quality issues and internal nonconformances, leading corrective and preventive actions.
- Support supplier quality development, customer audits, production launches, and technical manufacturing needs.
- Review engineering drawings, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and tooling to ensure product conformance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve quality systems, maintain standard work instructions, and promote a safe working environment.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of engineering, machining, or manufacturing experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, fixture design, CAD software, and CMM programming.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and engineering/manufacturing software.
- Experience applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing environment requiring extended periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and working around production equipment. Position may require lifting up to 60 pounds, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, oils, and varying temperatures. Occasional overtime, weekend work, travel, and schedule flexibility may be required.
