Join our dynamic team as a Fire Chaser in Property Damage Restoration, where your quick response and hands-on skills will make a real difference in helping clients recover from fire, water, and flood damages. As a vital member of our restoration crew, you will be on the front lines of emergency response, providing essential services that bring relief and renewal to those affected by disasters. Duties
- Respond promptly to fire, flood, and water damage emergencies, ensuring swift action to mitigate further damage. Listening to the scanner apps and communicating with our fire support team from 24 hrs a day on call.
- Perform cleaning, debris removal, and fire restoration tasks using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport personnel and equipment to job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and other hazardous material handling following strict safety guidelines.
- Use Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment estimates and documentation.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and other safety gear during all restoration activities.
- Assist with construction-related repairs or demolition work as needed during the restoration process.
- Maintain clear communication with clients to provide updates on project progress and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Participate in on-call coverage rotations to respond to after-hours emergencies promptly. Be willing to travel all around the bay area.
Skills
- Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to act quickly under pressure.
- Experience in fire restoration, flood restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, or related fields within the restoration industry.
- Knowledge in sales , strong communication skills with empathy and determination to get contracts signed.
- Familiarity with construction processes, hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in property repair work.
- Proficiency in using Xactimate for estimating damages and documenting work performed.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients during stressful situations.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
- Understanding of safety protocols including respiratory protection use, PPE adherence, and hazardous material handling such as asbestos abatement.
- Experience with company-specific procedures related to water extraction, drying techniques, and moisture detection tools.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training on safety standards, industry best practices, and new restoration technologies.
