Duties
The duties and responsibilities of a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for providing oversight of mail management and printing related programs.
- Coordinate services involving mail management, fleet management, transportation and worldwide delivery services management, property utilization and disposal program.
- Provide solutions to warehousing, moving services, distribution services and logistics management.
- Manage the Justice Management Division mail services program.
- Manages the mail and warehousing services budget operating plans.
Requirements
Conditions of employment
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.
- You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.
- Financial Disclosure: If selected, you may be required to disclose financial information in accordance with DOJ and Federal ethics guidelines.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after December 31, 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.
- Supervisory Probationary Period: First time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, at GS-0346-14, you must meet the specialized experience listed below:
For the GS-14, you must have on year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service providing mail distribution services needed to handle the receipt, internal distribution, and dispatching of mail; and develops policy relating to mail management, fleet management and/or delivery services management.

Education
