Job Duties:In this role, you will supervise and train correctional staff while keeping inmates safe and following facility rules. You will monitor inmate activity throughout housing, work areas, and daily movement.You will handle contraband searches, perform pat-down and strip searches, restrain inmates when needed, and oversee counts, meals, and daily routines.You will provide security in different parts of the facility, including outdoor posts and industrial or agricultural work areas, sometimes working in tough weather or around machinery.You will respond to emergencies, give first aid, help with evacuations, and use force when required to maintain safety.You will read and apply inmate records, keep accurate reports, enforce disciplinary rules, and work with staff, departments, and outside agencies as needed. You'd be a GOOD fit if:You have a high school diploma or GED, two years of experience in corrections, law enforcement, food service, laundry operations, or similar work, and can meet the job's physical and environmental requirements.This job works well for someone who is dependable, communicates clearly, and works well with a team.
