We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in disaster response efforts. By joining us, you’ll play a vital role in providing support to communities affected by natural disasters, emergencies, and other crises.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in emergency shelter operations
Assist in distributing food, water, and essential supplies
Assist employees in activities that do not require customer physical contact
Assist employees with staging a location

Requirements:

A commitment to serve during emergencies (flexible hours)
Ability to work well in high-stress situations
Strong teamwork skills
Previous experience in disaster relief or emergency response (preferred but not required)

CONDITIONS FOR VOLUNTEERING

Background Check: Incumbents may be required to pass a background check based on the assignment type.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers will only undertake activities within their physical capabilities and training, avoiding risks that could cause injury to themselves or others.

Minimum Requirements

Volunteer Program Requirements- To be an eligible volunteer, minimum requirements are as follows:

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
Must complete a Volunteer Application.
May be required to complete a Department of Justice (DOJ)/FBI background, depending on the assignment.
Must adhere to County policies (vehicles, uniforms, conduct).
