Job: IT Support Specialist
Location: Portland, OR (On-site)

Position Summary
As the IT Support Specialist, you will be the single point of contact for all IT-related issues at our Portland location. This role requires a "proactive troubleshooter" mindset, capable of managing hardware, software, security protocols, and vendor relationships.
Note on Supervision: This role reports directly to the Director, IT & Information Security in India. Your daily tasks and strategic priorities will be supervised and guided by the Director to ensure alignment with global IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & System Administration
- Troubleshooting: Resolve hardware and software issues for both Windows and macOS environments.
- Ticket Management: Monitor and resolve internal requests via the JIRA ticketing system, ensuring timely communication.
- Access Management: Manage and optimize cloud-based productivity suites including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, and Slack.
- Meeting Support: Maintain and support specialized tools like Tactiq/Gemini for meeting documentation.
2. Security & Compliance
- Endpoint Protection: Deploy and manage Bitdefender Antivirus and Morphisec Endpoint Protection across all user devices.
- Identity & Connectivity: Manage VPN access and ensure secure remote connectivity.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Oversee device enrollment, policy enforcement, and security updates via the company’s MDM platform.
3. Lifecycle & Procurement
- Lifecycle Management: Lead the Onboarding and Offboarding process for US employees, ensuring equipment is provisioned, accounts are created/revoked, and assets are tracked.
- Procurement: Manage the end-to-end procurement of IT hardware and peripherals, maintaining stock levels for the Portland office.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison for local IT vendors and service providers.
Key Deliverables
- Uptime & Resolution: Maintenance of 99.99% uptime for Portland office infrastructure and closing JIRA tickets within agreed-upon SLAs.
- Secure Onboarding/Offboarding: 100% compliance in account provisioning and de-provisioning within 24 hours of employee status changes.
- Compliance Reporting: Monthly status reports to the Director IT & ISO regarding endpoint security health (Bitdefender/Morphisec) and MDM compliance.
- Asset Accuracy: Maintaining an up-to-the-minute inventory of all hardware assets and peripherals located in the US.
Work Schedule & Location
- Location: This is an on-site position at the Tyfone Portland office.
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Shift: The candidate is expected to work 4–5 hours per day during standard US business hours, Monday through Friday, to ensure consistent support for the local team.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience managing Windows and Mac systems in a corporate environment.
- SaaS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, O365, Slack, and JIRA.
- Security Knowledge: Familiarity with Bitdefender, Morphisec, and MDM solutions.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Organization: Ability to manage time effectively within a part-time schedule while maintaining high standards of documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in the FinTech or highly regulated industry.
- Experience in vendor negotiation and hardware lifecycle tracking.
