Join Our Growing Houston Manufacturing Team!
Abnex is expanding, and we're looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to support our growing Houston manufacturing facility.
In this role, you'll help ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production and meet customer commitments. You'll work closely with suppliers, operations, production planning, receiving, and customer service to keep materials flowing efficiently throughout our operation.

What You'll Do
- Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and operating supplies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Follow up on purchase orders and expedite critical materials when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and help ensure material availability for production.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory information within the ERP system.
- Track supplier performance and resolve delivery issues.
- Collaborate with Operations, Production Planning, Customer Service, Receiving, and Finance to support on-time production and customer deliveries.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing and inventory management.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or a related manufacturing role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- ERP experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory control and supplier management.
- APICS/CPIM certification is an asset.
