About The Job
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of office furniture and workplace projects throughout the United States. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, installation partners, and UniFor headquarters in Italy, ensuring projects are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, budgets, timelines, and client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bid Coordination & International Liaison:
- Collaborate closely with UniFor headquarters in Italy to develop, review, and finalize project bids and quotations.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of project requirements, specifications, and deadlines.
- Align pricing, scope, and technical solutions with company standards and client expectations.
- Coordinate project information between internal teams, clients, and international stakeholders.
Technical Design Review:
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, layouts, specifications, and project documentation.
- Evaluate design feasibility and identify potential issues, risks, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure constructability and project accuracy.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete and aligned with project objectives.
Site Surveys & Field Verification:
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and field surveys to validate project conditions.
- Verify dimensions, site constraints, and installation requirements.
- Identify project risks and recommend solutions prior to execution.
- Ensure all field information is accurately documented and communicated.
Installation Oversight & Quality Control:
- Oversee installation activities and project execution in the field.
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and client expectations.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.
- Manage punch-list items and project closeout activities.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and identify variances throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain budget objectives.
- Support profitability through effective project cost management.
Project Communication & Reporting:
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and documentation.
- Report project challenges, delays, and risks while recommending solutions.
- Ensure all project documentation is current and properly maintained
Accounts Receivable Support:
- Support collection efforts related to outstanding receivables when required.
- Collaborate with Accounting and clients to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist with project financial reconciliation and closeout activities.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within office furniture, interiors, architecture, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, layouts, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Experience working with international teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Ability to travel for site visits and project meetings as required.
Compensation And Benefits:
For individuals hired to work in New York, Molteni&C includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $120,000 to $125,000 per year.
In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 9 paid holidays plus December 24th - January 1st off, 10 paid vacation time, 2 personal days, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
