Role Description The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Houston, responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations in alignment with Starwood Global Logistics’ service standards. This role manages inventory accuracy, stock control, and storage systems, ensuring that inbound and outbound freight is received, processed, and dispatched safely and on schedule. The Warehouse Manager leads and schedules warehouse staff, supervises equipment use and maintenance, and enforces safety, compliance, and quality procedures. Daily responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, coordinating with transportation and customer service teams, resolving operational issues, and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors. The role also involves maintaining clear documentation, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes. Qualifications
- Strong inventory-focused skills, including Inventory Control, Stock Control, and Inventory Management.
- Operations Management capabilities to oversee warehouse processes, personnel, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Forklift Operation and safe use of warehouse equipment, with relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience in Multiple Locations logistics, warehousing, or supply chain environments, ideally handling diverse and specialized cargo.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including HAZMAT handling standards, is an advantage.
- Ability to lead and coach teams, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competence with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic data analysis for reporting and process improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or logistics-related education is beneficial.
