Quality Engineer
Salary: $95,000.00-$120,000.00
Position Summary
Drive product and process quality improvements within a manufacturing environment by supporting new product launches, resolving quality issues, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality plans, inspection methods, and process controls.
- Perform audits, capability studies, and measurement system analysis.
- Investigate quality concerns and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
- Manage nonconforming materials and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with customers regarding quality issues, approvals, audits, and corrective actions.
- Support product launches, engineering changes, and risk assessment activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent and resolve quality concerns.
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience preferred.
- CQE certification a plus.
