About the Opportunity
A growing managed IT services provider is seeking an experienced infrastructure and cloud executive to lead a portfolio of enterprise clients while helping shape and expand its Infrastructure and Cloud Management Services practice.
In this client-facing leadership role, you will act as a trusted technology advisor, providing strategic guidance across cloud, infrastructure, service delivery, and operational excellence. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, internal engineering teams, and practice leadership to deliver long-term business value.
What You'll Do
- Act as the senior infrastructure and cloud advisor for a portfolio of enterprise clients.
- Develop cloud and infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead architecture and governance across on premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Oversee major incidents, operational performance, and continual service improvement.
- Present recommendations to executive stakeholders and build trusted client relationships.
- Support solution design, business development, and practice growth.
- Mentor engineering teams and help establish delivery standards and best practices.
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of IT experience, including senior infrastructure and cloud leadership within managed services or consulting.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, AWS, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience leading cloud strategy, service delivery, and major incident management.
- Executive presence with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to align technology initiatives to business outcomes.
Preferred:
- Experience in a fractional executive or virtual CIO role.
- Cloud architecture and IT service management certifications.
- Knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure as code, containerization, and cybersecurity frameworks.
