VP, Global Supply Chain
Salary Range: $290,000 - $340,000
(Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s global supply chain strategy across all key functions, including demand forecasting, production planning, procurement, logistics, customer service, and trade compliance. Ensure alignment with organizational goals to optimize performance, minimize cost, and improve service levels across global operations.
What You'll be Doing
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, financial targets, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership on company-wide planning, operational efficiency, and supply chain innovation.
Demand & Supply Planning
- Lead Master Planning and Demand Forecasting functions using market intelligence, historical trends, and statistical models.
- Direct Master Production Scheduling (MPS) to ensure synchronized production aligned with demand, capacity, and inventory targets.
- Oversee Production Planning and Capacity Planning to maximize throughput while managing resource constraints.
Inventory Management & Control
- Establish and enforce inventory policies to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce obsolescence, and support service-level targets.
- Utilize planning systems to ensure accurate safety stock, lead times, and reorder points.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead Strategic Supplier Management, including global sourcing strategies, supplier development, and risk mitigation.
- Manage Tactical Procurement operations to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing.
- Oversee Supplier Commodity Management programs, driving standardization and leverage across categories.
Logistics, Distribution, & Customer Service
- Oversee global Logistics and Distribution networks to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and responsiveness.
- Lead Customer Service Operations with a focus on service excellence, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize transportation, 3PL relationships, and warehousing operations across regions.
Trade Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure global compliance with international Trade & Customs Regulations, including import/export controls, documentation, and tariff management.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain standards and respond to regulatory changes.
Technology & Analytics
- Drive digital transformation in supply chain through advanced planning tools, ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and real-time analytics.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics across all supply chain domains to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and develop a high-performing, global supply chain organization.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of progressive experience in medical device supply chain management.
- Minimum eight (8) years of leadership or management responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience across all supply chain functions, including production planning, forecasting, procurement, logistics, and customer service.
- Strong ERP and planning system expertise (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kina, etc.).
- Demonstrated global experience managing cross-border logistics, trade compliance, and multi-region operations.
- Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
What Will Differentiate You from the Crowd
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Cooperative, multidisciplinary approach to working with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Regulatory, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Manufacturing functions.
- System-level knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, preferably SAP.
- Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
- Demonstrated technical acumen around medical device implants and delivery systems.
