Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging product design and production by reviewing designs for manufacturability, developing production documentation, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, high-quality production processes.

Responsibilities

Review product designs and identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Create and maintain production drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Generate laser cutting nests to optimize material utilization and production efficiency.
Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements.
Assist with new product introductions and transition designs into production.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Requiered

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and designs for manufacturability (DFM).
Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawings.
Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred

Experience with sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, or metal manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of nesting software and material optimization techniques.
Experience supporting production environments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
