The Air Import Operations position responsibilities include coordinating pickups / airport drop-offs and flight booking details with overseas agents, tracking shipments daily with individual airlines, confirming arrival details and customs clearances, and coordinated final mile deliveries. The position also requires consistent updates within our operating system regarding the current status and location of each shipment. This is a fast-paced and time sensitive position that requires frequent re-prioritization of tasks as well as handling email and phone communications with multiple parties. Applicants for the position must be organized and detail oriented. Room for advancement is possible available based upon performance. The starting salary is based upon experience.

Operational Execution:

· Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures

· Lead timely and accurate completion of workload

· Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures

· Prioritize your day according to shipment status changes and customer requests

· Respond to emails and customer requests timely

· Maintain an organized and efficient email inbox and workflow

· Experience with Outlook is a must -- Handle 100-150 emails a day

· Work with origin agent to confirm routing is handled according to instructions sent

· Confirm cargo is moved as booked with various airline partners

· Track shipments (via web) from port to door / door to door

Customer Experience:

· Ensure and model a helpful customer experience

· Ensure all customer questions are answered and replied to quickly

· Go above and beyond to assist and provide customers with required solutions

· Proactively help customers with any issues that may potentially delay their shipment

· Ensure customer experience expectations are consistently met

· Proactive and timely resolution of customer issues

Timely Decision Making:

· Make sound decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines

Requirements

Experience:

· Import operations experience is preferred

Education:

· Technical, Trade, or Vocational degree or High School graduate/Equivalent

Availability:

· Typical hours are 9-5 with occasional flexibility required.

· Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

THIS POSITION ALLOWS REMOTE WORK BUT REQUIRES OCCASIONAL WEEKEND/EVENING WORK FOR AIR CARGO ARRIVALS
