Job Purpose:
The Industrial Engineer position provides technical support for the Production Engineering Group working in areas such as manufacturing, design, development, and testing. This position develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, ergonomics, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Take ownership of all production process definition and implementation of assigned A/C area(s)
- Provides time studies, capacity analysis (manpower, tooling, capital, and facilities), line balancing, and crew loading, work sampling, and PC computer data analysis
- Develops and maintains engineered time standards.
- Applies statistical methods and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing assembly processes, labor requirements, and production standards.
- Schedules and sequences job plans (with Manufacturing Engineer approval) to support effective work flow.
- Supports work specific to detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations of composite and metallic aerospace hardware within a manufacturing environment.
- Plans, schedules, and prioritizes work to meet established deadlines.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
- B.S.I.E. (Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology)
- Minimum experience of 3 years
- Understanding of aircraft manufacturing and industrial engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Technology with proven success in implementation.
- Strategic thinker
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong peer to peer cross functional relationships.
- Negotiation skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management, and Lotus Notes.)

- Familiar with SAP operating system a plus.
- Familiar with TeamCenter a plus.
- Strong prioritization skills
- Experience in MOST / Six Sigma preferred
Working Conditions:
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
