Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys improving manufacturing processes, leading new product launches, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll play a key role in shaping manufacturing operations by overseeing engineering projects from concept through launch while ensuring world-class quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, providing coaching, direction, performance management, and professional development.
- Manage all current production engineering activities while leading successful new product launches from planning through production.
- Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
- Oversee engineering resources, project costs, manpower planning, and project timelines.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and engineering standards.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, safety, and profitability.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product quality and operational performance.
- Ensure engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained according to project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering requirements are successfully translated into manufacturing processes.
- Lead process optimization initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, supporting production and resolving technical challenges.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
- Previous experience leading Manufacturing Engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong shop floor experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or process engineering.
- Experience managing engineering budgets, capital projects, and engineering resources.
- Proven success leading new product launches from concept through production.
- Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization.
- Experience implementing cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop engineering teams.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with precision stamping or injection molding is strongly preferred.
