Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Project Manager with at least 10 years in the construction trade to lead and coordinate residential and light commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This role combines on-site leadership with project oversight—requiring someone who is not only skilled in budgeting, scheduling, and communication but also willing to work hands-on in the field as needed to keep projects on track. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong trade experience who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and job site efficiency.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, from site prep to final walk-through, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Develop, update, and track detailed project schedules.
- Lead on-site operations daily; assist trades and subcontractors in fieldwork as necessary.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve any field issues.
- Maintain consistent project documentation and facilitate clear communication across all parties.
- Prepare detailed estimates and budgets; ensure quality control standards are upheld throughout the project.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, scheduling, and site conditions.
- Supervise and mentor crews, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction trade (residential or light commercial preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction management principles: budgeting, scheduling, estimating, and quality control.
- Willingness and ability to work hands-on in the field when needed.
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and a strong commitment to job site safety.
- Proven leadership ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and multiple moving parts of a job site.
- High level of organization with the ability to juggle several projects simultaneously.
- Clear, professional communication skills for working with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Proficiency in construction software, email, spreadsheets, and mobile project management tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
