Manufacturing Manager – Detroit, MI
Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We are working exclusively with a well-established and growing manufacturing client in the Detroit area who is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to take ownership of a high-performing production facility
This is a key leadership hire, responsible for driving operational performance, strengthening team capability, and delivering world-class manufacturing standards in a fast-paced industrial environment
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have full accountability for day-to-day manufacturing operations. You will work closely with plant leadership to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and build a strong continuous improvement culture across the shop floor.
The business is investing heavily in operational excellence and is looking for a leader who can balance strategic thinking with a strong presence on the production floor.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading all manufacturing operations across the site
- Managing and developing production supervisors and teams
- Driving Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Owning KPIs including safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Identifying and eliminating inefficiencies across production processes
- Supporting capital projects and new product introductions
- Working cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
- Building a strong, engaged, and accountable team culture
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role (7+ years minimum)
- Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead supervisors and large production teams
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, shop-floor-driven environment
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred
Package
- Base salary: $130,000 – $160,000
