Our client is looking for a hands-on operations leader responsible for running and improving the firm’s day-to-day operations. This role works directly with firm leadership to scale the company, increase efficiency, and support profitable growth. This is a role focused on execution and ownership.

Responsibilities

Own all HR functions: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, retention, and offboarding.
Lead hiring for attorneys, paralegals, and staff as the firm grows.
Build and run simple, effective performance review processes with legal staff.
Create, document, and enforce firm-wide workflows, procedures, and SOPs.
Identify operational issues and personally drive fixes across legal, admin, and billing functions.
Manage operational systems and tools to improve accountability and efficiency.
Build and manage the operating budget with firm leadership.
Monitor expenses, utilization, collections, and key performance metrics.
Lead firm-wide initiatives tied to efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Qualifications

Experience in a small or growing law firm.
Working knowledge of billable-hours environments (utilization, realization, collections).
Proven ability to build and execute operational processes.
Hands-on, execution-focused leader who owns outcomes.
Strong judgment, communication skills, and discretion.
