+ Cabinetmaker
The Commercial Construction Cabinetmaker shows the ability to consistently fabricate both routine and a wide range of fairly complex architectural millwork projects with accuracy and quality while balancing their time, equipment and materials, efficiently. This individual would have a very competent understanding and interpretation of shop drawings. They would possess the knowledge of the materials used such as solid wood, veneers, substrates, joinery, hardware and other types of products that are incorporated into a wide array of projects that the Shop bids. This individual is a go-getter and creatively solves problems that may arise during production. This individual may be considered highly proficient in operating specific equipment or processes. This individual must operate in a safe manner during all daily activity. This individual may from time-to-time work as a team leader with their team and be called to mentor lesser skilled co-workers.
+ Essential Job Functions
- Work from shop drawings, sketches and be able to take verbal and written instruction with minimal supervision.
- Setup and safely use a wide variety of standard stationary power tools, hand tools, and power hand operated wood working equipment
- Works well with others to cohesively bring drawings to life and solve any design, material or process difficulties as they affect the work in a timely and effective manner.
- This person may be part and/or facilitate the use of the CNC process and machine.
- Perform good housekeeping methods to keep general areas clean and orderly of debris and hazards.
- Meet or exceed SAM established quality, quantity, accuracy and timeliness thresholds for all assigned work duties.
- Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary based on the needs of the business.
+ Education and Experience
- Cabinetry certification and/or three years’ experience in related field
- Knowledge of carpentry/construction industry, including processes, procedures, equipment, tools and machinery; experience in millwork/casework installation, strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the safe operation of basic hand and power tools and millwork tools such as router, table saw, chop saw sander, etc.

- Current Driver’s License is required.
- UA/7 Year Background Check is required upon acceptance.
