Our company seeks EXPERIENCED ROOFER candidates who are hardworking, safety-minded and extremely dedicated to the mission of our organization. A successful candidate MUST have experience working on projects related to roofing and installing roofing materials in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a variety of skills as well as physical activity, and a successful candidate will also be emotionally flexible, willing to help others and able to perform physical duties in a variety of weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Know the proper methods and safety procedures for handling materials.
- Use tools such as pry bars, hammers, power saws, generators, and lineman's belts to set up scaffolding and support rails.
- Apply roofing materials in accordance with standards that protect against fire and leaks.
- Work efficiently and complete work within deadlines.
- Be able to withstand the heat; know how to look for signs of heat stroke and know what to do if a co-worker has it.
- Have knowledge of structural issues that relate to roofs.
- Be in good physical shape.
